Extra virgin and organic olive oil: Olive oil has moisture-absorbing properties. The oil retains the moisture, providing a hydrating effect on the skin while shaving. This ensures that the moisture balance of the skin remains intact after shaving. Olive oil contains vitamin E, carotenes and minerals. Rich in anti-oxidants, it slows down the ageing process of the skin cells. Extra virgin olive oil also contains plenty of chlorophyll, which has odour-absorbing and removing properties.
Extra virgin and organic coconut oil: Coconut oil has a nourishing and softening effect on the skin and protects it at the same time. Coconut oil prevents the formation of free radicals. It has a natural, built-in protection factor SP-4 against UVA and UVB solar radiation, which is particularly beneficial for dryer skin types. Coconut oil consists of at least 70% protective anti-microbial fatty acids such as laurine acid, caprine acid, capryl acid, capron acid and myristine acid. These substances offer a high level of skin protection while shaving: they reduce the occurrence of irritated skin, inflammations, redness, etc., during and after shaving. The skin fat (sebum) produced naturally by the skin consists mainly of MCTs (medium-chain fatty acids), which are also abundant in coconut oil. In addition the oil is slightly acidifying and also an ideal sliding agent - it provides everything the skin needs during and after shaving.
Extra virgin and organic red palm oil: Red palm oil contains as much as ten times the amount of carotene found in carrots, and thirty times the amount found in tomatoes. Carotenes are extremely good for our skin. Red palm oil is also the richest source of tocotrienols, i.e. certain types of vitamin E. These types of vitamin E are stored in the skin, where they protect it against ageing and damage from sun rays. Tocotrienols combat age spots and wrinkles. They have a softening and protective effect on the skin and are therefore ideal when it comes to nourishment of the skin in the shaving process. Red palm oil has a firming effect on the skin after shaving. It provides for stronger and healthier skin, ensuring that your daily shave is not painful and not irritant to your skin.
The addition of specifically selected essential oils gives this shaving oil extra nourishing value.
Organic vetiver: Vetiver oil has a ligneous smell with sweet undertones. It is excellent oil for taking care of your skin during and after shaving. Its regulating properties are particularly prominent in somewhat oily skin. Vetiver oil has a constructive effect, especially on the subcutaneous connective tissue. This enhances the rebuilding processes of the skin. The oil encourages growth of new tissue, resulting in softer skin. Vetiver prevents skin irritation, redness and minor inflammations that could be caused by shaving.
Organic bergamot: Bergamot oil has a lovely fresh scent as well as some unique properties for skin care. It protects the condition of the skin and supports it during shaving. Thanks to its antiseptic and antibiotic properties, Bergamot helps to prevent the dangers of infection. It has a calming and healing effect on skin inflammations, infections and nicks in general. In addition it is naturally cooling and very refreshing to the skin. Whilst nourishing the skin after a shave, it provides a delicious feel, too!
Organic orange: Orange oil is gifted with a refreshing and invigorating scent. It also softens oily and coarse skin types. Orange oil firms the epidermis after shaving. It disinfects existing nicks and prevents microbe growth, which significantly reduces the risk of minor inflammations. The skin is given ample opportunity to recover in a healthy and natural way after each shave.
Organic roman camomile: Roman camomile oil is a highly valuable skin cleansing oil; it takes great care of your skin while shaving. While soothing and softening on the one hand, it strengthens the skin tissue at the same time and also has a disinfecting and anti-inflammatory effect on allergies and skin rashes. Roman camomile greatly reduces the risk of irritated skin during and after shaving.
Organic cedar wood: Often used in skin care products, cedar oil has a very calming effect on the skin after shaving. It also works soothing on skin that is suffering from irritation and rashes. The antiseptic properties of cedar wood protect the skin from infections during shaving.
Organic sandalwood: Sandalwood oil has a sweet, ligneous scent. An excellent skin care product, it also prevents and reduces razor rash. Sandalwood improves blood circulation in your skin and works as a moisturizer at the same time. It enhances shaved skin and the subcutaneous tissue.
Organic cardamom: In Ayurvedic practice, cardamom oil is often used to restore slightly irritated skin. This oil is suitable for use on the entire skin and may be applied directly on the affected skin. It is the perfect oil for shaving and for healing skin irritations afterwards. Cardamom oil enhances the structure of the skin. In Ayurveda, this characteristic is called the ‘Varneekarana property’ of cardamom.
