Hello, nice of you to come and take glance at my recipe review. Here, I have made a fine selection of recipes and chefs. Amanprana and/or I has/have a special bond with each of them. We, for example, have cooked together and have the same vision of eating. Healthy, tasty and refreshing meals without fuss. Tasty meals to be healthy and happy. Ayurvedic cuisine, macrobiotics, raw food, vegan cooking and proper food combinations have inspired my recipes.

In the meantime, I have put together quite a few recipes. From appetizers to pancakes and from delicious snacks to smoothies. The emphasis is on pure and natural, without refined nutrients. Nutrition is your best medicine!

Use healthy starters and side dishes for an abundant and beautiful dinner table

Dining with friends and families starts with a well-adorned table, which can contain decorative items and attractive tableware – as is customary for special occasions – or a variety of healthy snacks. We also call these snacks side dishes, and they are perfect for lavishly adorning a table. Why? Because they are so simple to prepare!

An Amanprana side dish frequently consists of one main ingredient and a few flavourings, making them easy and quick to prepare. The names of our starters already give it away. In “spicy broccoli” the broccoli steals the show, while in “beetroot oven-cooked” it’s all about the beet, and “walnut pesto”consists of ... you guessed it, walnuts! You see what we mean – not much is required to serve up a tasty starter! All you require is creativity, or just a good recipe. And when it comes to good recipes, you’ve come to the right place!

Side dishes and starters are multifunctional and can supplement all kinds of recipes!

Creativity is a useful quality when using side dishes. Our side dishes can be combined with all kinds of recipes. You can use a side dish to prepare lunch,  brunch or dinner for yourself, or have it as a snack. These kinds of dishes are also handy for creating a picnic, or for serving at a vegetarian barbecue.

Just like the other recipes on this site, all our starters are vegetarian and/or vegan. All recipes, regardless of the chef that created them – whether it is Martine Prenen, Philippe Van den Bulck or Rineke Dijkinga – do not contain meat and often don’t contain any animal products.

At Amanprana every day is veggie day, because we are convinced that plant-based foods are better for our body and our mind. Not only do we consume less energy digesting vegetables, compared to digesting meat or fish, but organic plant-based foods are also richer in minerals and vitamins. It does not drain the body of energy, but gives it energy. It contains ‘rich’ good calories, rather than ‘empty’ calories that eventually result in deficiencies in the body.

Even in small dishes, such as our side dishes or starters, it is therefore necessary to use the healthiest ingredients possible. Everything you eat, and the amount you eat, has an effect on your body... and on who you are. You are what you eat.

Amanprana hopes to contribute to a healthier living environment and to the future of the earth with all its healthy recipes, even with the smallest side dish. Did you know that the ecological footprint for plant growth is much smaller than for meat production?
